Elementary School

You don’t need to wait until a student reaches middle or high school to start developing their consent skills.

Through peer-to-peer relationships, we can support elementary school students’ skills in navigating their wants and limits alongside the wants and limits of their others.

When kids practice navigating their boundaries and desires when the stakes are low, they’re more prepared when the stakes are high.

Let’s get learning!

For the classroom

It’s here! An accessible way to bring Comprehensive Consent into your classroom.

Filled with 25 ready-made lesson plans, The Kids & Consent Curriculum is a skills-based guide that teaches kids ages 8 to 13 how to practice consent in all areas of their lives.

With its playful classroom activities and discussion questions, this social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum goes beyond describing what consent is to instead teach kids the “how” of practicing consent.

For faculty & staff

Are we practicing what we preach? As we help students learn about boundaries, desires, and power, we need to be sure we’re acting in line with the values we teach.

Comprehensive Consent offers schools supportive presentations to support their understanding of consent as a dynamic interpersonal practice and give them the tools to successfully apply what they learn to their everyday interactions with students and colleagues.

For parents

Families that understand and value consent as a life practice are invaluable allies in helping children develop their consent competence. Comprehensive Consent offers sessions to parents and caregivers to support their understanding of what it means to teach consent to kids and teach them how they can reinforce the value of consent in the home.

To book Sarah for your PTO or PTA, reach out to her at sarah@comprehensiveconsent.com. For individual parent learning, Sarah sells a pre-recorded workshop for parents and offers parent coaching.

All workshops and presentations are offered virtually and in-person throughout the greater NYC area. Custom workshops are available upon request.

Testimonials

“Ms. Casper joined our community to support our ongoing DEIB work with the topic of consent as part of supporting an inclusive community where all of our members feel they belong.  The session was engaging and informative and faculty and staff continued conversations around the topic long after her time with us that morning.  I highly recommend her work in support of not only students but also adults.”

— Ms. Jennifer Rose, Head of Middle School & DEIB Faculty Facilitation Team member, Wardlaw & Hartridge in Edison, NJ

Sarah gave two talks to our school community. Sarah is so down-to-earth, and she shares her knowledge in such a personal way. She gave a bunch of real-life examples and scenarios. I highly recommend reaching out to Sarah and setting up a workshop at your own school!”
